Interior House Painting

our approach

Interior Painting For Rooms, Trim, and Finished Living Spaces.

Before recommending a finish, we walk through the home and review how each room is used, what the homeowner wants changed, and the desired level of finish.

Walls, ceilings, trim, doors, existing coatings, lighting, and surrounding materials all shape the recommendation. Color, sheen, preparation, and product selection follow from the room itself, not from a standard paint schedule.

what we paint

We review and assess each space before work begins, then recommend the right preparation, product, and finish.

Walls and Ceilings

We refine walls and ceilings through repeated priming, sanding, and inspection, adding applications where needed to achieve a uniform finish.

Trim, Millwork, and Architectural Details

We preserve crisp profiles through restrained filling and caulking, then develop primers, stains, and topcoats as required by each material.

Color and Finish Coordination

Working with the homeowner and design team, we develop custom samples and refine the finish system needed to execute the intended design.

Specialty Interior Spaces

We combine project-specific preparation, primers, and specialty coatings to meet each space's use conditions and intended finish.

WHAT WE EVALUATE

The Right Finish Begins With
The Right Assessment.

01

HOMEOWNER GOALS

Every consultation begins with understanding what the homeowner hopes to accomplish. Whether refreshing a single room or repainting the entire home, those objectives help guide the recommendations that follow.

02

SURFACE CONDITION

We evaluate walls, ceilings, trim, and millwork for previous coatings, repairs, cracking, texture, and overall condition. Existing substrates determine the preparation required before finishing begins.

03

COLOR, SHEEN, and DAILY LIVING

The way a room is used influences the finish selected for it. Lighting, surrounding materials, traffic patterns, maintenance expectations, and the homeowner’s preferences all contribute to the final recommendation.

SPECIALTY FINISHES

When the finish is part of the design.

FINISHES WE APPLY

Some interiors call for more than a standard painted finish. Specialty finishes may be called for with plaster walls, feature areas, cabinetry, millwork, powder rooms, dining rooms, libraries, or entryways.

This work can include Venetian plaster, limewash, high-gloss (lacquered) finishes, textured finishes, or other decorative applications, depending on the surface, room, and design intent.

Specialty finishing requires sample review, extensive surface preparation, and clear expectations before work begins. The goal is not simply to add visual interest, but to support the room’s architecture and design.

Frequently Asked — Interior Painting
FREQUENTLY ASKED

Interior Painting, Answered.

Do I have to move all my furniture before you arrive?

No. Move the smaller items and personal belongings; our team will move and cover the larger pieces. Nothing of value is left exposed.

Can you paint an occupied home?

Yes. We complete many projects while the homeowner remains in the home, with protection, sequencing, and cleanup all planned around that reality.

How long does interior painting take?

Timing depends on the number of rooms, the amount of preparation needed, drying conditions, material requirements, and surface complexity. We include a project timeline with the proposal.

Will my home smell like paint for days?

No. Modern low-VOC paints leave only a mild odor (usually gone within a day or two), and we use HEPA air filtration throughout.

Do you repair walls before painting?

Yes. We can include minor drywall repair, patching, sanding, and surface correction as needed. Larger repairs are discussed during the proposal process.

What type of paint do you use?

Pro Painters LTD uses only premium, low-VOC coatings that are safe for the household and built to last. When a project calls for an eco-friendly or specialty finish, we specify the right product for the specific surface.

Do you work with interior designers, architects, and builders?

Yes. We coordinate with architects, builders, and project managers on residential renovations, restorations, and custom home projects, and we routinely work with designers to establish colors, sheens, finish schedules, and project specifications.

Can you help choose paint colors?

Yes. Our color consultation evaluates options in the actual room, under your home's light and beside existing materials. We can help with color and sheen decisions, or work from selections provided by a designer or architect.

Do you offer specialty finishes?

Yes. These may include Venetian plaster, limewash, high-gloss finishes, textured finishes, or other decorative applications when appropriate for the project.

Do you guarantee your work?

Yes. Pro Painters LTD guarantees our workmanship for 5 years (see proposal for details). A standard workmanship warranty of that length is uncommon, but our process earns it.
